Need help finding a soundcard for laptop

I will be needing a card for recording two tracks simultaneously.
No use for midi. I was thinking of getting an external 2 channel preamp,
as i hear preamps integrated in cards tend to have noise problems.
On the other hand, would it be possible to exchange the op-amps in such
cards and get decent results?
I will be recording with Nuendo btw.

Thanks. Would the Indigo IO work better than M-audio audiophile or 410?

The Presonus Firebox is another one you could look into. I only suggest it because I've got one...and I like it.
