Can someone please share some insight as to how I can connect my M-Audio 2626 interface to Logic Pro 9?

The operating manual implies that the program will recognize the device as a foreign audio source and provide the option for its selection, but thus far this hasn't happened.

If you have it connected to a firewire port, you're halfway there. In Logic, open up the audio preference pane. You'll see where you can select the input and output devices by selecting via dropdown. Pick your 2626, and you're done.

Mine doesn't pick up sometimes too. But it's a lexicon and USB. If yours is FireWire idk

But all I have to do is go to preferences and find it in the drop downs for "audio in" and "audio out"

Make sure you have all the drivers correctly installed for the interface.
Make sure they match your computer; mac or windows.
Then in the preferences menu in Logic go to audio.
It should be under audio devices.
