need help - acoustic and vocals

acoustic and vocals both recorded with a mxl 990

Been away too long

i had to EQ the acoustic a bit because the bass strings were real boomy - i think i had the mic too close ....i'm not happy with the result ... i am still only getting used to the mic ...

any advice would be much appreciated

Well, the sounds are pretty damn good. Sounds like some background noise when it first started. Vocals are a bit loud, but the guitar is great. Turn the vocals down just a bit. They drown out the guitar at times. Not all the time, as when they are quiet, they sit pretty well....but at about 2:20, that's what I mean. Just a bit loud. But shit, dude, you rock. Just need to get some of the levels more even. Killer tune Lurgan......
