I was playing around with SoundFonts and I found a good one, expcept for one cymbal, the one I use the most. I found another soundfont that had a good one, but I don't like the rest. I wanted to split the notes and use them both. I went to help and read about split notes to track.cal. I finally found a copy from the Cakewalk FTP site, but when I try to run it, or any of them, I get an error about an included file need*.cal, for the split notes to track script, it's need20.cal. Anyone know where I can get these?

That file should be created when you install Sonar. You can probably go back and reinstall it. When you get to the installation screen titled Select Components, click the Options Button for Libraries. Then make sure the Cal Files checkbox is checked and select OK. When you return to the main screen, uncheck everything except Libraries and continue on.

I'm pretty sure that will do it for you.

Scratch the above. I assumed that the file was contained inside of a cabinet file on the Sonar installation disk. I just checked, and actually the file is right on the CD.

It's located in the Sample Content\Cal directory.

Where are they on the Cakewalk Pro Audio CD? I don't use Sonar. If I reinstall and just click library files, would that work?

I got the Split Notes to Track.cal file from that FTP, but I didn't see the need files.

Sorry, I misunderstood, I thought you wanted the split to tracks one, I don't even know what the need one is.

The Split Notes to Track.cal file uses the file need20.cal. Others use files like need4.cal and so on.
