Bring Back Transfat!
I've got my outs from a Darla going to a Denon reciver (for monitoring) and tape monitor outs on the receiver going back into a Behringer 1602 so I can record a reference track from CD using Ntrack. It sounds lousy through the monitors and on the recorded track. I have found that I can paste a track from my burner into Ntrack which is pretty cool, but I'm curious why it wouldn't work the other way. No manual came with this mixer. Where can I find a "road map" explaining how to route mic/mixer/darla/reciever, ect.?

Have you tried recording directly from the CD player to the inputs of the darla, setting the inputs of the darla at -10dB. What sounds lousy about the other way your doing it? Does the mixer have tape in/out?

I'll give that a shot tonight. No tape in on the mixer - just aux in which I assume is essentially the same. Coming from the receiver the volume is muffled and a little thim sounding. Thanks
