I am looking at creating a recording interface that will use 3-4 behringer ada 8000's. The only issue i have is that i want to be able to record all of these channels at once, but can not find an interface that has enough adat lightpipe i/o's. Does anyone know of one that is relatively cheap?

First, "32 inputs" and "cheap" do not belong in the same sentence.

Why don't you tell us what you're trying to accomplish and we can probably help you...

Best deal I know is the M-Audio Profire Lightbridge--which I use to interface a DM1000 mixer into my computer via Firewire.

A few caveats:

It's very fussy about your Firewire chipset which pretty well has to be TI.

The instructions are plastered with warnings not to hot plug. I must admit I've carelessly done this a couple of times by accident without ill effect, but be warned.

Finally, you'll want to think about your Word Clock scheme, probably using coax T pieces with a termination at the end.

Those "buts" aside, I've had mine for a bit over two years and it's been rock solid.

+1 for the Lightbridge, we are taking 24 tracks of adat (can do 32) to firewire in our studio and it works fine.
