Need a hand with Audiophile 2496 S/Pdif

So, as I was hooking up my 2nd rig with a brand new 2496, the digital inputs appear to be not working. Using a SSL Alpha for preamp...The A/DC Lock light is lit on pre, however no signal of input on M-Audio Control Panel "Spdif IN"...Preamp works fine on my Firestudio, but no worky with Audiophile....Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Under "Hardware" in the M-Audio Control Panel, is it set for "X-ternal Clock", or "S/PDIF In"?

CLock is set to "Internal" SSL sync's to host clock....
