Hey guys rip this thing up. Some of you have heard this before without vocals and lead guitar. This is just about finished and I figure what better way to test it on a dozen or so systems in a hurry than post it here eh! I appreciate it, thanks.

Cymbals are a tad ear fatiguing at times, mostly when the drummer bangs into the crash.

Perhaps roll out some 2k and lightly compress them with a 2;1.

Also the vocals get a little buried during the chorus.

Take care.

It must be partially an encoding issue. It's not nearly as harsh on the .wav file. Probably could use a little cut nevertheless.

Thanks.

Sounds nics man. I like the lo end you have acheived. Solid and phat.
Reminds me of incubus in production and a bit in writing style.
Vox could do with fixing though. They need lifted at the choruses. Maybe try different eq and or comp. just an idea.

yea, i second the cimbal comment

what's the wispering, is that like a stereo delay on the vox?
all i'm really getting out of it is machine gun sibelance.
sorry dude, i dont like that a bit.

at the very intro cut the white noise off of the git on the r

i'd like more guitar, just a little, but all around except the lead which is ok by me.

maby a touch more hi end to the kik.

i like that distorted git sound. but it seems a little "brown" just a very little clean up in the low mids maby?

try to define the toms more, maby a mid cut or add some attack or volume, whatever works.

i think it sounds good, i'm just being super critical.
hope i helped

In general it sounds pretty good. Good performances and good recording basically. I definitely second the Incubus comparison.

The bass sounds a little "all-encompassing" to me.

Vocals are too quiet in the chorus (as someone else said). From a performance standpoint, the vocals are a little too pretty or "white" sounding for this style of music. They're too trained sounding in my opinion. Maybe loosen up a bit and don't make everything so pronounced and clean.

The guitar solo seemed ok in the beginning, but the little fast bit at the end sounded forced and out of place.

All in all, good job.

Made some of the suggested changes. Alot of people don't care for the snare, say it needs more meat. This is pretty much what his snare sounded like. I even asked the drummer and that's what he expects to hear. I removed the delay on the lead vocals and added a little more verb with a longer decay. Clean up the bass guitar too. I think everything sits a little nicer now. Thanks everyone for the listen. I love this place.

I like the guitar sounds... I think the only thing holding back the song are the vocal and drum performances. They're not bad, but they're not stellar. the vocals come across a little timid. At some point they want to open up and crescendo. I feel like they meander about a bit and never really realize what they could be.

The drummer is pretty good. I can hear a lot of Peart influence, and it's not helping, IMHO. The faux sixteenth note ride bell figures arent working because he's relying on stick bounce to cover what he should be covering with single strokes on the ride and ghost notes on the snare. There are fills later in the song that again come across weak because they are being produced with stick bounce instead of single strokes. The pulse and timing are okay.

All in all it's a good song that misses being great.

I like it. to me the bass sounds off- not as in tone or time - just dosnt sound quite rite- like muffeled.

Cool song
