Need a basic xlr-to-usb converter

I've got a couple of fairly good condenser mics, but pending changes in my recording platform won't have direct xlr input. So I need to adapt the mics to usb -- nothing fancy, just to provide the connection and the required phantom power.

I've seen ads for Light Wire, MXL's Mic Mate, Icicle, and similar products. Are any of these particularly recommended, or conversely to be avoided? I'd also like to stay within this price-point.

Thanks.

Save some money up and get a proper audio interface. You won't be doing yourself any favors by using a cheap USB converter because the preamp in it will not be very good. And you'll be limited to using just one mic at a time.

If you're set on this type of adapter/interface, check out the Shure X2U.
