I just acquired this program a couple of days ago and have it running as an RTAS plugin in my Pro Tools/Mbox setup on my PC.

I've tried PodXT, VOX Tonelab and even the VOX ad30 amp (i take full advantage of Guitar Centers return policy).

The Guitar Rig is an amp/effect modeling program. A fast computer is mandatory. I have a P4 2.4 gig with a gig of ram.

all the amps and rack effects are "drag and drop." super easy to use and it sounds really good. lately ive been a tube amp snob. I would rather play through a tiny blues jr than a large solid state amp any day. The Guitar Rig really does a good job of getting that warm tube sound. I plug my guitar through a nice tube preamp and that may have something to do with it too but if you can get this program youll have a lot of fun with it.

I have a decent set of monitors too which helps.

How does it compare soundwise to the pod? I saw their demo video and was pretty impressed. Have you recorded any samples?

I've recorded a whole song with the guitar rig. It's worked very nicely. I got the v1.1 update and it adds some cool effects and presets like reverse delay and pitch shifter and some others. This song I recorded, I didn't really use the distorted sounds (if thats what you sounds of) of the guitar rig, but I used the tremolo and reverse delay. Drums and bass were done with Hypersonic.

Oh, I just remembered, I've done 2 songs with Guitar Rig. So I will post tomorrow. The vocals suck though, since I suck at singing.

mixed singals full kicked ass!!! nice. Vocals are very "The Church" like.

guitars kicked ass. might need to fork out for the NI rig now.

Will Guitar Rig run as DXi in Sonar? I don't mind rewire, but DXi is better I think :) How is it compared with ReValver?

Thanks!
