Native Instrument- FM7 as softsynth

I heard that you can use FM7 as a standalone softsynt. I want to use it as a sound source from a midi sequencer that doesn't have DXi insert capability. Is it possible? Possible without using MIDI-YOKE?

I think most NI synths can be used as standalone (my B4 can anyway ). But if your sequenser doesen't have DXi capabilities, then how are the MIDI-data going from the sequenser to FM7 without MIDI Yoke (or similar)?

moskus, how does the NI B4 compared to the B3? I've visited their site few times, but I need "real world" comments on it. It could end up in my wish list for couple months. I've always looked for farfisa sound (or something like the one Ray Manzarek of The Doors used on "Light my fire")... what do you think of it?

I've heard the B3 numerous times. A buddy of mine is a B3-fan and can really play them. I played some scales using B4, burned them to CD, went over to my friend and played them for him. His comment:

"Wow, when did you get a B3?!?"

I think it's the best B3 emulator ever!

Cool! Allthough... the B4 is made to emulate that kind of sound, being an B3 emulator which the Doors used (I think).
