I am having major issues here.
I have the studio tracks done, now all I want to do is add the vocals.
When I do. It sounds "Karaoke" How can I get the vocals to "BLEND" with the mix.
I have the Firepod 8 mic Pre and Cubase.
I do use Audition 2.o on the side. But generally use Cubase.

E-mail me for one of my new songs I arranged, recorded, mixed, and added vocals.
Not sure what I did wrong.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

What was your vocal technique? Were you right on top of the microphone? Are you using any compression, eq or reverb on your vocal track?

I find that backing off the microphone, adding a little space alla reverb and cutting/boosting the appropriate eq frequencies can help a vocal sit better in the mix.

you may have better luck posting this in the recording or mixing sections of this forum.

good luck.
