I Just un-crated the Crate V33H and the V212 cab... WOOHOO!

HaHa, I have to say this is one super nice little amp for what I paid for it
3 Benjamins' for the whole rig which is really unheard of for a 33 W Class A amp complete with a 212 cab.

it don't have all the bells and whistles that a more expensive amp would have and it will handle only an 8 OHM load but i do have the option for an extention cab and the cab can be switched for 8 OHM Mono or 16 OHM stereo so I do have options for more drivers if needed.

I will try to post some sound clips later:cool:

Eymmabeliever
thanks for the heads-up on these little jewels:D

congrats, looking forward to that review! I test-drove this same rig at a store a few weeks ago and really dug the tone.

I would SO spray-paint mine orange (i have an orange archtop guitar). Otherwise I'd paint it blonde or tweed or some such. I already test-painted an older cheap amp I have and it looks sharp. All you do is remove the insides, remove corners and everything that covers the tolex covering, paint it with Krylon (or spray-paint of your choice), let it dry, [apply more coats if you're going for a light color], dry again, reassemble. Instant pseudo-50's. :D

You got you a sweet tube amp that will certainly cover any small gigs or recording/jamming and a fine 2 12 cabinet-thats about all the bells and whistles you really need!! I found a Peavey Delta blues last year after a quest for a Classic 30 and I feel that the Delta is even better.....built in switchable tremolo and a 15" speaker.
EyemaBeliever/Shawn has helped me find some jewels when I was looking for gear-the guy is a great dude~:D

Ya I was actually loking for something exactly like this little head and cab; actually it has everything I wanted on an amp.
this little amp really sounds good and is plenty loud sho nuff
I started to buy the blackheart head and cab a while back but now I am glad I waited on making a purchase because I like this rig much more not to mention i got 28 more watts of class A tube goodness and more drivers for less money.
the Blackheart would have been ideal for studio use but would not have been very practical for a gig.

On another note... I never knew Ampeg was made by the same company as Crate.

I think the Black Heart amps and cabs are also made by Loud tech aren't they?
Ya Eyemabeliever is good folks, He and I are Brothers from another mother:cool: :D

Gear Junkey
you aren't a Tennessee Vols fan by chance, are ya? LOL

That is a sweet-looking rig!

I look forward to your impressions of its sound. We want clips! :D
