I'm starting out with computer recording.
I have PIII 550 256Ram Win98SE
M-audio OMNI with Delta 66.
M-Audio came with Emagic Delta Logic
Some specialty bundled version Emagic Logic with
16 audio and number of midi chanels. I don't like it too much
one of the things is that I can't put effects on individual chanels
and there is only 2 Aux (at least that was all I could get)
I'm considering n-Track or Cubasis VST 2.0, about the same money. There is also Cakewalk Home studio but it doesn't support multiple i/o so it's out.

Any thoughts, comments, suggesions ...

Thank you.

I would definitely take N-Track over cubase2.0 . Don't bother with cubase unless you are getting a newer version.

No question.... N-Track. I have Cubasis and prefer N-Track.

BUT IF you are doing a lot of MIDI you might want to do those parts in Delta Logic and then import them into N-track (which doesn't have a lot of MIDI editing capability.) Personally I do almost all of my recording in audio and only a little in MIDI so N-Track is perfect for me.

Also remember that no one program will fufill all your needs. People who can use the best of many programs can do tons more than people who can only use one product.
