Knows very little
Just added a bunch of new tracks to my myspace page. The newest one hasnt been heard by anyone here yet, its called "Peano". If you guys got some time come check it out. If you have listened to my other stuff, a lot of that is on there too. At least drop by for a friend request and Ill come by and check out your tracks.

Thanks,

Joe

The only thing that consistently bothered me was a lack of "umph" in you bass kicks. All the beats were great, you killed the pianos, the violin, and the vocals that you used in 'Whole'. The only element that was missing in my opinion was that hard deep, grimey bass kick which I believe comes from your acoustic background. Put a little dirt on that bass kick, it's too clean, get nasty wit it....lol. All great quality stuff though and very clean as far as clarity. I was really feeling the use of samples in Brother too, that was some damn good stuff. KEEP BANG'N

9.5 on my score card...

thanks dac, yeah I hear what you are saying about the kicks, they are hurting. I try to fuck around with them, but I can never get the to sound the way I want. That is partially why I am looking for new drum samples, but I doubt that will solve all of my problems.

The track "whole' was my first track that I sampled. I didnt know how to do it the way I do now, so I actually made the drums first, then put those in acid. After that I litterally cut the shit out of a song and put it to the beat. It took hours LOL.

Great stuff! Just added you as a friend!! B.

Thanks man. I will check out your tunes later, I tried now but myspace was being stupid as usuall and taking forever to load the songs.

I'm impressed with the drums. I didn't know fruity loops could do that...or did you find a drum loop and added?

My friend uses fruity loops a lot. You can see his work at:

Thanks man, good to know people feelin in. Yeah, I dont sample loops, though I have been known to take a drum sound or two from a loop. Sometimes if I want to some some cool high hat work or snare fills and/or ghost rolls I will double the BPM to let me do more fancy stuff with the drums, like faster fills or something. For example, if I snatch a sample that works out to be 85bpm and I want to do a cool fast fill or something, I will change the bpm to 170 haha. It sounds fast, but you can make the exact same drum beats, it just allows more breathing room for the drums. Im a real drummer so I like to spend a lot of time on the drums.
