Hi

I thought I would post this up. I recorded some live drums on it over the
weekend, purely to test my new setup, and im really pleased with the
results. It will have some vocals eventually but this is an instrumental
mix.

I would be interested in hearing any feedback/comments.

I ike the top end but the bass is too sub for me put a bit of pressure on my ears in the phones- is it a keyboard or real bass?. The drums & piano keys, especially the intro, are cool. I was almost expecting something later period Squeeze from it.
I'm less enthusiastic about the synth sound that accompanies most of the piece - generic maybe?
Real drums are SSSOOOO much better aren't they just a drum roll is all it takes to prove that. I wish I could find a drummer.
Top flight mate. Ignore my petty prattling - though think about the bass a little.

Thanks for your comments. Yes it is a real bass guitar, I am a bit of a bass
head so will tend to mix bottom heavy. This it's what im going for on
this project. The keys and synth are from Reason, I quite like the
synth string part myself.

Yes I agree that real drums are cool. This is the first time i've recorded
a live drummer and it sounded better than a programmed part. I'm a
drummer too, but I got a mate to drum on this track so I could concentrate
on the recording.

I think the feel of this track will change again once i've got someone to
sing on it. I really don't know where it's headed, thats part of the fun
of it. I don't even know what style of music this is? Can't put a finger on it.
