I CAN SMELL EM!
Ok ....
Example,....
I create a 67 tempo loop in Fruity, when I export the wav (drum loop) and open it in Sonar there is no way for it to play on time. The Metronome is ALWAYS slightly ahead of the beat.
Both Fruity and Sonar are using the same clock source which happens to be the sound card (Audiophile).
I've tried using the Motherboard as the source,... NOTHING! Same problem.
When I export the wav in Fruity I've saved it Acidized non-Acidized, I think I've tried every freaking setting there is available.

I know that Sonar's Metronome is correct because midi plays perfectly on time

The tempo on both programs are set the same.

Oh, and I've set the clip properties in Sonar to the correct timing also........... :( :(

WTF is happening!! ARGH!!!!
I'm about to make a bon fire with my DAW.
Help me out guys.

I haven't seen this with Fruity, but I did have a similar situation with Rebirth's export to WAV command.

It turned out that Rebirth inserted a tiny amount of silence prior to the actual sound starting in the WAV file. When imported to 01:01:000 in Cakewalk, the beat actually then started at 01:01:060 or something similar. Editting off the offending bit at the front seemed to work fine. If you open the Fruity WAV file in an editor can you see anything like this?

Also, does the WAV file vary it's tempo around the metronome beat or is it exactly delayed by the same amount for the entire time?

Have you tried using shorter samples of the drums from Fruity and then importing and looping them in Sonar using the Loop Exlporer window?

Also, have you tried a tempo in Sonar of something like 67.03 ?

Qwerty, I'm going to speak to Dragon Dave for him to up grade your status to "Force of Nature"!!!!! :D

I have to start the clip out at 1.01.120. When I do that it's perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you VERY much!

Glad to hear it worked - (and also glad that bruise on your forehead didn't get any bigger :) )

import-metronome hassles

I've had enough trouble with HS2002's metronome function (for me, it's mainly not being able to hear it) that I've gone to a solution you might like. I simply stick my metronome up to a mike at the tempo I want and record that. Give it a try...
