we don't need rest!!
ok, ok... so I started out and wanted to try and do a "samicide" influenced project, but ended up with this dweb muzak rendition:rolleyes: ...didn't even pick up my guitar:( Hell...no mics for that matter either... just a bunch of samples:eek:

Except for the fact that I didn't realize 15 verses might be enough...don't tell me you heard this in an elevator somewhere!!

oh come all ye faithful

nice.........i like the bell and percusion sounds.........not crazy about the bass sound.....really like the organ.....great separation for all that is going on............nice job........puts me in the mood for christmas

great to hear something from the man...

Great, full mix. Sounds beautiful... Mannheim Steamroller... whatever... great stuff.

What was that at 2:26? Started in the middle, and spread both L & R? Really cool... repeats at 3:33...

FINALLY, someone (besides ME :D) used some sleigh bells in their x-mass offering.

Kinda funny how in the outro, fade out it gets LOUDER at 4:39... just because of how it was performed (string swell)...

Top notch, top flite. And no jack-russells barking in the background!

Christmas music at Epcot during the laser show! :D

Hey mix....pretty cool. Not very samish though. Still........I like traditional Christmas music the most I guess. Always puts me in the mood. Infact with all the music here on the board, I'm more Christmasy than my wife who hasn't been hearing it. Good work man.

Good job Mix old boy.:D I like the full ranks. Didn't I just hear this in the elevator the other day..............

excellent..

this was great! I recently hooked up the computer to my stereo, and now I can listen to things through either 15" Cerwin Vegas, or 2 JBL's wall mounted with a 12 inch subwoofer.. I have a graphic e.q that I just use for it's spectrum analyzer, and this song looked well represented frequency wise! :D It sounded pretty near perfect, and the rendition is classic. It sounds a lot like the Christmas tunes I grew up listening to.. Very cool.. When you dropped the 's' bomb in your post, I expected it to explode into some type of hard synth sounds or something.. I really liked this though.. I recognized most of the sounds except for a few, and I'm guessing they're from the 'World' expansion.. I'm glad you didn't squash this with hard limiting/compression or whatever.. It had a good sound to it.. This one kinda forces the Christmas spirit right into you..

I may have to do a version of your version of this! :D

screw the 'Triton'! We don't need no stinkin Triton! Long live Roland!! :D

Great job mixmkr!Nice use of the various keyboard sounds throughout.I thought you were a guitar player?:DThis is added to the Holiday playlist.

Thanks,Kramer

Well done, mixmkr. Long time no see (I wasn't able to come by for about a month) and it's good to see you're keeping your high standards.

I think I've heard that song somewhere though... maybe in some elevator... :D

Sounded great. The hopping bass line near the end was a nice touch.

Absolutely prestine quality ... the Mix way :)
Really does put you in the holiday spirit!
The drum fills are really nice also.
Im going to put this on my holiday music playlist!
Thanks
off to your other song :)

Very nice stuff mix........ It was nice to go through a bunch of the sounds you use like that. You should offer this to Roland to use as a demo for their stuff.

Nicely done man, g

Cool! I liked the tempo change at the beginning and the build as the song develops. Nicely done.

However, it won't get airplay unless you cut it to under 3:00. :)

This sounds like something I'd hear in a super-market during christmas shopping. Only this sounds better-quality. You've got that clarity again. The organs sound like they overtake a bit too much in places. The drums tend to go a bit to the background, but I usually like drums loud, so that's only a question of preference.

Very clear stuff, very smooth. Nothing bothers me too much. The samples are just the type I'd expect from a christmas song. There's no conflicting sounding instruments here. It all fits together. Forget what I said about the drums being in the background. This isn't heavy metal, so they don't need to overpower everything else :D

Great recording

thanks all...not going to get into indie thanks this time around...

but..Chad...not sure what part you are talking about at the 2;22 mark or so...I listened with that in mind... but wasn't sure what you were talking about...or which part, I mean.

I learn a lot when I hear your stuff. It sounds well.. good. :) The uptempo is spirit..

I`m not crazy about the modulation on that woodwind in the first section, I got Zamphi chills on it, but the rest was super!

:p

Kind of an Oriental twinge...

A moderns Christmas on Okinawa... Coolness! Hooray for the sleigh bells! the chimes are a nice sample too! Very enjoyable, a nice mix of modern and classic sounds! Good separation and use of the sound field!

Cheers,
Phil

It was at 2:27... a synth-marimba sound, or something. It starts in the middle, and spreads both L & R... very cool.

Jeannie Christmas, listen to all the freakin' reverb!!

Kidding, mix. Just kidding. :D

Very nice rendition. I haven't been in an elevator in quite some time...I don't know what those comments are all about.
