digi 001
behringer eurotrack 16 track no buses 4outs
mac g4 dual core (dual monitor video card)
behringer c-3
i got a p.a. system laying around
yamaha ns-10m monitors
and a ton of instruments


what i want to know is if this is a good set up for a home studio?
can anyone make any suggestions on what i should get or trade or whatever?
i am on a low budget...very low..

Sell 'em ;)

You can probably get some decent bucks out of those (maybe? not sure what the going rate is on Ns10s anymore) to trade for some pretty good monitors. Of course, if you already know those monitors really well, then it may serve you well to keep them, and also buy a second set that's a good bit more neutral.

Nice start though, like said above, just start recording, you'll figure out pretty quickly on your own what your next step should be.

Yup, the next thing on your aquisition list should be experience ;)
 
Learn how to use what you have. I know a guy who recorded and produced platinum selling albums on that same computer and interface and monitors.
