I built the entire room (room within a room, new subfloor which floats on U boat) and all of the furniture as well. There is a lobby and an iso bothe next to the main room. My media room is used as a drum tracking room. The main desk incorporates a Mackie Universal with an extender, a big knob and serves as a platform for the monitors. Sides of the console are tiger-striped maple.

You using a 3 output video card with those monitors?

Looking really nice, love the desk!

My video card I has 3 outputs,2 analog and one digital output. I open up Cubase and it stretches acrosss all 3 screens. It really does help visualize nearly the entire song at a glance. I built the desk around the Mackie Control Universal. I wanted it to look like one unit.
Thanks for looking.

Regarding the desk, it worked. Very cohesive look to it.

Is that a 1202 vlz or a 1402? If 1202, where'd ya get the ears?

Yes that is a 1202 with ears. I picked those ears up on Ebay about 3 years ago. The mixer doesn't get that much use nowadays but every once in a while I need it.

One goofy thing I should mention. When you first have a client or friend over to your studio to check things out, nothing impresses them more than motorized faders. People could be listening to the finest recording ever produced but not care but let them look at motorized faders and they're impressed. If you're looking to record more, get yourself some sort of DAW with motorized faders, it's good for business. ;)
