My sound keeps dropping out :(

I have a Marian Marc-A adat sound card and it works fine normally but after a while windows just drops the sound. the driver still works but theres no output signal from any programs! :(

any ideas? this sound card isnt very well known so theres not much on the web.

has the problem always been there? or is this something new?
 
i ran it on xp for a very long period of time and it was absolutly fine. then i reinstalled windows once and it started off this problem. So i reinstalled again to see if it stopped it, but now it persisted. its getting really annoying :(
 
id start by optimizing windows a little to see if that helps.. like turning off system restore and indexing service on hard drive properties. disable windows sounds. make sure the windows driver isnt installed and interfering with your sound cards driver.

sounds like it could be a service running in the background interfering with the driver data flow
 
meh, i tried those things... restarted and it still dropped out after about 10 mins. The motherboards AC'97 driver isnt installed nor trying to interfere. *crys*
 
is the problem happening on all software applications... including media players?
 
windows updated, tried switching pci's and yes its happening on every audio application i use. (cubase, games, media player, reason...)
