ok. Ive only just discovered this site!! but ive been building up my gear for some time...and after reading some of threads im wondering if ive made some bad decisions!!!
Ive got a Delta 1010 as the heart of my recording studio...but because I needed to record drums, acoustic guitar, vocals etc. I thought that I would need some sort of mic pre-amps to get a good quality signal into the Delta.
I checked out quite a few pre-amps..all very pricey and with only 1 or 2 channels..I needed about 5 or 6 for drums!! ouch! I started to think about mixers....
to cut a long story short..I ended up going with a Behringer EuroRack MX2642A (mixer) because it had Direct Outs for each channel that I could assign to the Delta - Plus I could use this desk when my band wants to record live.
Was this a mistake?
For the price..the Behringer was the only mixer I could find with the number of mic preamps and direct outs on each channel that I needed .........i think it was a good choice?????
