Alright, here it is. This is what I have, and then I'll tell you my problem.

Digi 001 with Pro Tools LE
Yamana O1V digital mixer
Behringer Composer 2100 compressor
MIDIman Oxygen 8 MIDI controller
Zoom RT-123 drum machine
Alesis SR-16 drum machine
Roland MC-303 Groovbox
Crappy Casio keyboard that my mom bought me for $100

My problem is I can't get MIDI to go into Pro Tools through any of these devices. I hook the in's to the out's and the out's to the in's, I set up the inputs correctly, but nothing. When I hook them up I put them directly into the Digi 001's MIDI inputs, is that wrong? Do I need some sort of seperate MIDI interface? I'm just not understanding why I'm not getting anyting. My Oxygen 8 controls my copy of Reason just fine (except for some serious latency issues), but won't bring anything into Pro Tools. Please help. Thanks.

Does Digidesign have drivers that support the Oxygen?

Does M-Audio have drivers that support ProTools LE?

Are you trying to daisy-chain your MIDI devices and THEN run them into the Digi???

I never had any luck daisy-chaining MIDI. Things got a lot easier when every device had it's own I/O.

If you can get Reason to respond to midi through the Digi 001 then it's probably not a hardware or driver issue. Have you read your Digi Manual to see what you are supposed to do? There is probably just some setting you haven't checked.

My Reason isn't responding through the Digi, it's responding to the Oxygen through the USB port, whenever I plug it into the Digi with regular MIDI cables nothing happens. It might be a driver issue with the Oxygen, but my drum machines don't do anything either. I've checked and rechecked the settings and the manual and I don't think I've missed anything. Thank you for your responses.

Sounds more like a driver issue with the Digi 001. You say you can't get MIDI data into or out of its MIDI ports?

Does it not show up as a MIDI device in Pro Tools when it's connected to the computer via USB?

Is there perhaps some setting that disables the MIDI ports that's toggled on?

It does show up in protools as a midi device, but nothing is working. So it probably isn't a driver problem huh, cause it shows up.
