My set-up, Need advice for mixing, Pics included.

I've posted this in the studio build section but got no replies, I was wondering if I could get some help here.
Here is my little set up, This is the only room available to me so I have to make the best with what I've got. My desk is against the shorter wall in the studio which has a window with curtains in front of it. My speakers are set up at ear level and are equal distance from each side wall, My listening position then completes the triangle. On one wall you can see a duvet which I've placed there for absorbtion, on the wall opposite you can see my home made panels, (the purple panels) These are 3inch thick panels filled with loft insulation and covered with the cover from the duvet. As you can see along the top of the walls I have placed pillows which I thought might be ok for bass traps or at least absorbing some low frequencies.
Some of the problems I might have are the corners behind the speakers and no absorbtion over my listening position.
Any advice on my room or things that I could do, would be greatly appreciated. As I've posted before I've very limited financially.

'Loft insulation'? Compressed fibergass is recommended - and I would venture to say thicker (4" is usual) for bass traps. Pillows and duvets will absorb highs, but not lows.
