kinda heavy and not clear'- as in too much lows- might be too close to the mic? If the highs are there but swamped be the lows back off an inch or two or try to tone it down with eq.
If it's muffled because it's missing clarity/highs or distorted that's a different problem.
You are never going to get a good sound pluging an xlr mic into the onboard soundcard (a soundcard that cost just a few rupees to make and was intended to bleep when you make an error)and is not intended to take a xlr dynamic mic of the type you have.
