Im using a Triton keyboard which has an Audio output using 1/4 left, and a 1/4 right. I have a Hosa cord, which on one end has two mono 1/4 plugs and on the other end has a stereo 1/8 plug. I plugged the 1/4th plugs into my Triton and on the other end I placed an adapter to make the 1/8th into a 1/4th. I just got a Joe Meek VC6Q preamp so I plugged the other end into the "line in" on the preamp. HERE COMES THE PROBLEM!!!! When I play a patch on my Triton, when I play notes in lower octaves the notes have nice volume, but as I approch middle C, the notes either lose volume or have no volume at all. When I keep moving to higher octaves the sound increases to the same volume as the lower octaves. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE MIDDLE OF MY KEYBOARD! It all started when I connected my keyboard with the preamp. I want to know if the preamp's line in is Mono or Stereo? Could that have something to do with it?? Or is it the cords i used? What solutions should i try?? Excuse me if I double posted this.
