Hey Guys im currently in the middle of my new studio build, i purchased a 12 by 20 foot shed and am dividing it in half for my control room and drum room, so far im in the middle of adding the drywall. the insulation and electrical has all been done and i have piped 18 xlr cables through the studs as well for patch panel accessibility.

You may want to reconsider dividing it into two 10x12 rooms....which will be even smaller with all the gear in there.
That's awful small for a control room or a drum room.

I would leave it one space, and just monitor with headphones when tracking....no big deal.

well my previous studio was in my parents garage, and it was a 9x9 drum room with a 4x9 control room haha so once i started tracking bands i discovered the bands were actually all hanging out in my tiny control room 90 perecent of the time, this is a major upgrade for me

I just think your sound both for drums and mixing would benefit substantially from a large, single room....since you are already going to the trouble of building a new studio. Plus, it will be a lot more comfortable when everyone wants to hang out in onw large room... :) ....but go with what you think is best.
