I never really met E-40 but I made this mixtape track and put myself on the 1st verse. The link is under my sig.
Please give me some feedback.

Nice ta see you repin the BAY. Like your rap... You know what might work is if you mixed up the beat like a DJ with scratches in the begining and end. You know add some different twist to it. Like a remix. Add your own creativity. I think your vocal needs to be compressed just a little and EQ more to match the E-40 and the others...

Are you marketing yourself as saying you did a song with E-40 but, you really didn't? You just recorded over a track he was already on, right?

That's a bit lame to me, fam. No offense intended. It's one thing to say "Check out the remix I made" it's another to claim you rocked a joint with someone.

Ya, I feel what you're sayin. I've seen a lot of mix tapes with featuring Lil Jon, 50 cent, but it's just the original song with a new verse laid on it. Not really featuring.... That's why if you are going to do something like that, you want to kind of remix it. Remember to say it's a "Mix Tape Remix" and not a song featuring the artists. It's featuring you as a remix...

So ya, be careful how you promote those songs. It can get you into problems...

Also, remember you can always get San Quinn, E-40, and others from the Bay on an original song. Yes, you will have to pay them, but it's worth it.

I never did like that. Nothin' wrong with saying it's a remix of this song just so people can hear you (so long as you're not selling it) but passing it off as original work just doesn't fly well. I haven't heard the song personally, but just my .02. But I'll at least listen to the track and give my critique solely on vocals.
