Hi all, I hope this is the best forum for this question.

I am trying to record some voice tracks for a song. This is a low end home studio type deal.

No matter what I try, it allways sounds like me and a recording. You know how in songs the voice matches the audio? I've messed with volumes, a few differnt mic's, etc.

Is 'music voice' just higher end equipment? Some technique I dont know about, or....?

Thanks,

ROb

A little more detail please. Where did the music come from that you're singing to and what form is it in? Is it a stereo track, or do you have the seperate instrument tracks?
Getting a vocal to sit in a mix involves a few things, but it doesn't necessarily take expensive equipment. It does take some fundimental skills though, and those don't just happen in a day. Give some more details on what you're trying to do and how you're trying to do it and help will be on the way.

I believe it's more of a "talent" thing than equipment.
