My Mixer :(

i have a mackei mirco 1402 vlz

when i record...theres this loud buzzing

how can i get rid of it?
im only using one trs cable to connect from the outs of my mixer into my soundcard.

anything i should buy?

Which soundcard input are you using? What soundcard are you using?

If this is a stock soundcard, the line in is gonna be stereo unbalanced, not mono balanced, that's not exactly what you want but it shouldn't cause loud buzzing.

On the other hand, if you've plugged the mixer output into the soundcard's mic input, the level will be far too high and you very well might hear nothing but loud distortion.

If it's not that, I'd suspect a bad ground connection on a cable or jack.

cant be that
ive recorded tons of things wit a cheaper and little behringer mixer and no problems

but when i got the mackie....its just too loud
I plugged in the behringer....perfectly quiet.

i guess it is ground hum

i should get balanced cables right?
