Heres another post about my cheap ass Behringer Eurorack MX802a mixer.

I have a virtualizer plugged into the Aux Send 1 (pre), and I send each track out to the computer seperatly using aux send 2 (post).

I'm monitoring the wet signal through my headphones, but its not getting recorded, which kind of defeats the purpose.

Why am I using the aux send 2 out to pipe the output down to the computer you may ask... because I need to also monitor the output using the stereo line in... I know I need a better mixer but I just dumped a grand on a podxt and a new guitar, so the mixer just aint in the budget.

Im also trying to avoid recording direct from the virtualizer.

Any Ideas?

You don't want to record anything wet anyway. Record everything dry and then mess with effects. Monitoring a little wet is on just for monitoring purposes..

well that about sums it up right there.
How can I record the effects from the outbound gear though if I dont record them direct?

As you play back the song, send the appropriate signal out of one soundcard channel, through the effects, and recorded onto another channel.

Thats what I was afraid of.
That means my audigy just wont cut it anymore.
