I bought the MXL V63M and Alesis io2 interface around christmas time, and I have used it almost everyday, but now for some reason, I am not getting any input sound from the Microphone. The interface is fine because I have it set for output and its working fine. I just cant get the mic to work the past two days.. Any help is greatly appreciated.

1)] Check the settings to make sure that the phantom has not become switched off.

2) Check the cable to make sure it is not broken.

I cant find a switch anywhere on the mic itself, and I have tried with two chords, so that isn't the problem... :/

The phantom power switch is on the interface.
On yours it just says "+48".
Make sure that's on. :)

Turns out I have to have that on and have the chord in a certain position.. Must have a short, guess I'll go buy a new chord! Thanks Man!

Oohh. No good.
Should go without saying, but just turn it off, unplug the cable, and forget about it until you get a new one.

A short could be dangerous to your other equipment, where phantom power is involved.

More likely a break in the cable of solder joint than a short, stop using it. You could invest in a soldering iron and learn to solder, saves a lot of money later repairing and making cables.

+1 on what Witzendos said. Soldering is an invaluable skill for studio owners even if all you ever do is make your own cables. There's lots of good tutorials on soldering on you tube.
