thought i'd share a few of my songs with y'all - tell me what you think!

Izrail

Realise, it’s open up my friend
Compromise, hallways in the mirror
Borderline again
Realign

My heart is slipping over you
With yielding forces that undo
Come under fire
I’m under fire

Sacrifice, all you have is gone
Fantasize, hands scratch at your door
Borderline again
Redefine

Wise martyrs fortell my abuse
A bleeding chorus swept the dunes
Come under fire
I’m under fire…

… By someone
Who has a love
There’s someone
Who has a love
By someone
Who has a love
There’s someone
My Izrail

very poetic and beautiful, but it seems to be lacking structure. Seems more like poetry than a song.

thanks for the praise

my songs aren't usually conventionally structured you see - they usally have contrasting parts to them

the song starts off in a meloncholic slow paced way, then the last section ('by someone who has a love') kicks in with major chords that uplift and gives a positive ending

no problem. Just be careful when writing free-structured songs. It'll either work REALLY good and sound awesome, or REALLY bad and sound like random shit.

Wow, good stuff. I guess I'm more imaginative, maybe 'cause he's a Newbie Dude LOL. I can definitely see this in a song. Me likey.

here's my first ever anti-establishment political song i have written:

The Overflow

Defiance son, you are the answer
Corruption flows, like the river
To breach the signs
You must fall into their minds
Then burn them down
You are allowed

(Pre-chorus)
There’s no ambition for a change
There’s always someone else to blame

(Chorus)
Overpaid and overflowing
And never wave to where they shore
To hold the line is all we know
To hold the line, The Overflow
To criticise is never enough
To criticise is never enough

Defy young man, of all these ages
Defiance son, you will make pages
To breach the sky
You must follow their lies
The morning lasts
All in the past

(Pre-chorus)

(Chorus)

Overpaid and overflowing
Overpaid and overflowing
Overpaid and overflowing
And never wave to where they shore
