My lonely Rokit

I was planning on getting a pair of Proto-J's. But I lost the bid on eBay for a pair because I fell asleep and someone beat me by two dollars or so :-(

So I got an itch to go pick up a pair of KRK V4's at Guitar Center.

I ended up just buying a single KRK Rockit over a single 20/20 or pair of V4's.

Till I save up for a Hafler, Alesis or Samson reference power amp and another Rokit (I am toying with the idea of a mono album, so I may not need another Rokit), can I just use my little, rinky-dink JVC mini-stereo to power the Rokit? Or will it color the sound in some way?

Any kind of amp will color the sound. Some better some worse. You just need to get use to the sound it is creating. I would use what I have until I could upgrade. Then you'll have to get use to that system. hope this helps.
