It's not a happy song. It's written about relationships. I did everything, and a friend mixed it. There's a lot of little things going on in the mix. A lot of acoustic percussion. Submitted for your approval/critique, "Just a lie - reimaged Timbo" As Tim did the remix.

It's #2 on my page. It's not a happy song...

Well, I'm glad to see so many are interested in my art? I wish there were more who would be bold enough to actually render an opinion?

Patience Robby.

I thought it sounded decent. Good singing voice. Generally good performances. Is that a real sax? I thought the different percussive sounds worked well generally, but might be a bit overdone.

I thought there was a slight general muddiness to the mix. I think it mostly comes from the bass and acoustic guitar.

Drums are pretty far back in the mix. The keyboard is a bit too dominant. Vocals are sitting just about right, but a word or two here and there get lost in the mix.

Why do you end everything with a question mark? I thought your voice sounded great. The mix sounded good here. I would keep working with Tim.

:-) Thanks guys, actually another fellow mixed it? Because my mixing skills are not my strong suit... The sax is Mr. Sax-T by samplemodeling, I highly recommend this plug (I don't work for them or get any income in any way from this company, I just really like their stuff.) I'm not sure why I end everything with a question mark? I think I may have been a Valley Girl in a former life?

Wow. Sounds great Robby. Very few issues here, so I don't have any real constructive criticism to offer. Just wanted to say well done.

Sounds good the vocals are real good bro. I didn't care too much for the sound of the rain stick, but that's just opinion lol. I think it might be a little overkill on the Latin percussion too lol.

All sounds well played and balanced to my robbie - any issues are more personal taste than nits I think. I thought there was too much reverb on the drums and could live without the whispered backing vocal bit - but if you like 'em as they are, then they're fine.

Thanks guys, I like to tell people, music pours out of my like urine from a homeless person on the streets of downtown Atlanta, I can't crontrol it. :-) The wispers and what not, I didn't really plan it that way? It just came out that way. I'm just glad to still be writting. For now it's back to the covers :-( Then I may put out an album? Experience me under the covers for yourself! Now for under 8 dollars!
