Hey guys, Im using my Tascam FW-1082 as my overall soundcard for my computer. What I mean is my computers sound is going out into my interface and through the monitor out port. In order to use my computer with sound I have to leave the mixer on a lot of the time and I dont like shutting it off because it freezes my comp if I dont restart my computer after turning it on.
So I leave it on a lot of the time and I try to turn it off most nights. Ive noticed that sometimes my audio cuts out and it is rare when im playing music and online browsing the web but recently ive installed a lot of vst instruments ie mininoog, korg legacy, and the grand 2. While playing these I have noticed my audio cuts out a lot more and I mean a lot more. Especially with some of korg ones. Do you think this is becuase of me leaving my mixer on or something else being wrong with my mixer? Or do you think it isjust becuase of my computers cpu usage being high. Even though it only says 40 most of the time.
Any help on what to do is much appreciated thank you.
