:)Well kind of unplugged.

I just recorded this using my new A/E guitar and my 424 MKIII. (trying to go old school on this) The sample is called "Openin' Dialogue" and this is the link to it:

I used two tracks of the new guitar-one rhythm and one lead and one fretless bass track. I mic'd the lead guitar with one SM-58 near the bridge and ran the piezo through channel 4 of the mix. Added a bit of verb through the effects bus and came up with this. Take a listen and tell me how you think it turned out. I'm still experimenting with getting a good recorded sound with this Acoustic-Electric thing-a-ma-bob and would really be intrested in getting some good recording tips from you guys. I'm sure some of you have way more experience with the acoustic in a studio setting than I do. Have a listen and tell me what you think. :)

Yeah!

Very nice playing. Nice little composition. Great sound quality. Has that fat sound you'd expect from an analog recorder. If anyone asked me for an example of good analog recording sample off the 424mkIII, I'd point them to this recording. Nice utilization of the Portastudio. I approve. /DA
