I practiced a bit with Audacity today (first time I do any type of music production). I sing using a simple PC headset and I recorded only one pass(too lazy to sing again). From all the effects I used slight reverb, echo and normalization.

There is a lot to improve, how do you like the beat in general? I think I coupled lyrics nice with the music(I do compose my own music but this is not mine, I think it's from a video game, stumbled upon it on my HDD and found it suitable for my song so I didn't want to reinvent the wheel).

Watch your pitch. The vocal is out of tune in quite a few places. I would put a little less reverb on it.

I thought the instruments sounded OK.

Something strange sounding at 1:12. Little pop on the right side at 2:05.

thank you the vocal is out of tune in places as I did only one pass (I was too lazy to sing again or sing every part several times and join them later)

I was rearranging something at 1:12 and 2:05 and obviously missed it by a few hundredths. Yes less reverb would be good and I think less echo too now when I listen to it again.

what do you think about these lyrics, do they get along with the melody?

When it comes to self-recording, never be lazy. Record lots of tracks, practice parts first.
