Vegas Video can do much of the work. When I see some amature rap videos' on TV like a few months ago, they looked REAL bad... that's one of the reason's I thought I would film one now, instead of later, plus I wanted to see myself in a music video. I know lighting is a major part of it, but we only had 2 people, me and the other cat, except for a couple scenes.
I ain't a pro or n e thing at this, but I also think the camera angles play a role too, in how you play out a story, plus the shifts in scenes. I always see that in other pro music videos, and movies. If you start filming one dogg, I suggest you get someone with very steady hands, or one of those tripods' that can roll around. All my scenes were like per bar on the lyrics, so like for every 2 bars, would be a scene, just so it doesn't go too long on one scene...
My last scene on the video was actually suppose to consist of, after the break in, and the verses, a "Drug Deal" would be taking place, with a camera angle pointed showing me & pgt walking to the trunk of the car, and 3 other people walking from somewhere else towards the trunk of the car, with a box, and we have the duffle bag "full of money", as the deal takes place, the camera angle would already have switched to a birds eye view, over the top of our shoulder, and we exchange the "stuff" for the "money", we would look in the box to make sure everything's there, BUT the camera wouldn't see what's in the box... After the deal, the scene woulda switched, and we woulda been in either a hotel or whatever, with the box, which we would then take out all our CD's that were in the box.. That way, instead of looking at a drug deal taken place, and people think that's the only way to make money, well we would be hustlin' our CD's. A better image, a twisted plot lol.
