Nice dirty tone with a lot of power for size.

Tex, I have been downloading your amp tests and keeping record of what is what, as I listen...sort of a "tone listening" class I guess.

I am attempting to train my ears...to pick out, even the most subtle of difference in tones.....it ain't easy for me I tell ya....:D

Your tests, are two-edged ear candy swords.

Thanks

I think what amra thinks is this guy didn't in fact use the said amp to record. I kind of thought that was what his thong in cheek comment was about.

Equipment is overrated. If you can actually play guitar you will sound good with any amp. I have the MS2 and I have recorded direct with it and even used it on a 412 Greenback cab. It sounded good. Not kind of good, it sounded good.

Thanks, I think. Right? I don't know If this was a complement or saying that ANYONE could record with the MS-2 and get the same results.Either way it doesn't matter cause everyone is going to sound different EVEN if they played on the SAME EXACT set up.They MIGHT sound good or they MIGHT not.As far as the comment that IF you can REALLY play guitar, you can make ANY amp sound good, I have to disagree. I heard really good players who had been playing for years and could mimic some Classic guitar players come by my studio and sit in on my rig with or without their own guitar and couldn't get the same TONE quality results. These are MY first hand experiences with MANY of these guys. Most of them are in good gigging bands. Maybe they have no studio recording experience, but they can REALLY play guitar. Just cause you can REALLY PLAY guitar doesn't automatically QUALIFY you to dial in good tone on ANY amp.YMMV :)
