No-one's replying, young Dave, because there's a thing called the MP3 forum on this BBS where this would be better placed.

Try it over there, I'm sure people will be glad to give you feedback.

Cheers

Good start

DaveDrummer,
Not bad for a first mix.
On my computer speakers the mix balance between things are a little "funky" (not in the right way).
The over all sound quality of the individual sounds are pretty good on the drums and wanking guitar, the bass however is kinda flabby. The guitar is too loud compared to the other elements, by probably 4 to 6 dbs.
Don't feel bad about the Bass sound. Bass is one of the hardest things to get right. If it sounds good solo'd it generally sounds like mud in the mix. As you get more experiance you will find that the bass needs certain "qualities" such as string noise and rattle with some spanky mid range kinda things going on that will sound horrible when solo'd but great in the mix. Some people
such as Chuck Rainey will mic the strings near the base of the neck with a condensor mic and add some of that back to the mix (uncompressed) to add some sparkle.

Hats off to you! you are on the right track,
