There is no actual choice of vocal key before it kicks in. Sounds like you are singing different intervals with each of the vocal switches.
Solo at 1:24 at sounds, pretty good chops there.
Sounds like there is a lot of palm muting noise in the lower frequencies.

A little too much compression on the into guitar track. Change threshold and attack, and work on having only a couple db of gain reduction. I'm sure that will help.
Spread the harmony backup vocals a little left and right of the center vocal channel, it will make it sit a little nicer I think.
The guitar solo around 1:50 shouldnt be panned hard right in comparison to the rhythm guitar in the left speaker. It sits lopsided. You need to find a place for the rhythm tracks(the double tracked rhythm), somewhere in both channels during the solo.
I think the thing that is hurting these recordings the most is the acoustic over compression. Try using less, I'm sure you'll be happier with the improved overall dynamics of your recordings.
I like both of the songs, good flow, pretty cool tracks.
