i would have purchased very similar items, but i just dont have the cash:(
 
looks good man. if you can, you should really try and get some monitors. mixing in head phones isn't ideal..


btw those are damn nice headphones! grado make lovely headphones.
 
how do you like the Phonic board? I was thinking about getting one, but am leaning now towards the Mackie Onyx 1620...

I am having a hard time finding anything about the Phonic boards...

Its a Chinese import entry level / price leader brand, competing with Behringer and so forth. It hasn't been on the market very long; the units seemed packed with features but longevity is an open question. Preamps are in the "get what you pay for" department, and you're not paying much; don't confuse these with what you would find in a studio unit at $400/ channel. Instead, think of it as a pretty nice place to begin, accept its limitations and you may find it earns its keep quickly in helping you as you learn more technique. You will sooner or later want to move to higher end gear. But even then, this can remain useful for other things, particularly live performance.
