Beautiful Sin,
Imaginary Lover,
I like the lo fi samples/bottom end.
The voice doesn't sit well in the mix & there are a couple of pitch issues as well.
The guitar solo isn't edgy enough. It's a bit normal amongst the circus of noise. Either replace it with something really prisitine like a clean classical/nylon string guitar or throw something onto it, other than digital metal, to effect it & give that edge.
This is a good piece - see it through to a brilliant conclusion.
& Good Luck with the gathering of a clan.

hah - quite a specific crit there
cheers, i'll take it all onboard
i did everything myself on these tracks (apart from live drums)

yeah, my voice is very temperamental - though i look to vocalists like robert smith who aren't exactly pitch perfect yet retain a strong personality
i'm still learning about mixing, and now that i have new equip and software i'm sure it'll all just get better

as for the geetar solo, its all played through my overdrive channel on my amp - nothing effecting it
i just wanted something simple and strong to pull the outro together
now that i have a new geetarist on board, he will definately add more to all the parts i wrote. we're starting off as a 2 piece, me on keys/laptop and vox. we will recruit a drummer along the way after people have heard us live.

listening to always and for never, its good but i think the vocals need to be rerecorded i really dont think pitchy vocals sit with electropop too well, oh and compress the vocals and turn them down a bit. The musics good it reminds me of Ratatat in a way.

indeed - i found it hard to fit in the vocals in the mix. as i said, i'm still new to mixing.
i'm not sure what exactly you mean by 'pitchy'?
