Greetings...

I've got a Tascam DP 02. Oh how loyal it has been until now.

Well, I put some Wav's into the WAVE folder from my Mac. Done that before and all good. But the machine wont acknowledge they exist. In fact, everything that shows on the computer is ignored by the Tascam.

Wierd. I only used it a few months ago? It was okay then?

I was trying to put those Wav's into different tracks on the machine, to feature in my mix.

Any ideas? I tried putting a track from an old recording into the WAVE folder and that was fine. It is the only file the machine can see in there?

Thanks, Paul

Read your manual ... page 45 ... the WAVs must be transferred to the WAVE directory in DP02's FAT partition ... the DP02 doesn't read the computer, it only sees its own FAT partition. You must also be careful of file names, must be in 8.3 format (ie, FILENAME.WAV) with no special characters or spaces. Beyond that, you might have a problem with the WAV files themselves ... I believe they must be in 16 bit 44.1 kHz format. See the note on pg 69
