Over the last 3 months with the help and advice from Many of you guys I have amassed a nice selection of gear ready for my creative whims to be unleashed upon.

After many hours of reading these forums and doing research on the internet and scouring ebay for deals I have made many decisions culminating on what I see now in my mini studio. This seemed like hard work but now the learning process can really start.

So for the many people that post their advice on here to help people like me I would like to extend a very big thankyou ;) for all the info that has been painstakingly posted, not just the replies directed to me, but also the wealth of knowledge that has been shared by the majority of you over the past years ( that I searched through and spent many hours reading ).

Just for the record , your advice helped shape my selection of the following gear :- :)

Korg MS2000B keyboard
Roland V-synth Keyboard
Roland Vari-OS rack with VC-1 D50 expansion
Access virus B table top synth
Roland JP8080 rack synth
E-MU Xtreme lead XL-1 turbo rack synth
Lexicon MX200 Digital effects rack (X2)
Soundcraft spirit ES mixer
Fostex MR-8HD Digital multitracker
Boss DR-880 digital Rhythm machine
Yorkville YSM1P powered monitor speakers (X2)
YSS1 150w Active Studio Subwoofer
Behringer ULTRA-DYNE PRO DSP9024 digital compressor
Sonar home studio 4
MOTU midiexpress 128
Apex HP40 headphones
a gazillion midi and instrument patch cables by "planet waves" and "yorkville"

when I have figured out how to get the best from it all i`ll host some of my project work for you to laugh at :D

So, when are you gonna get the Vari-OS 303 and Jupiter? Huh? Huh? :p

Congrats man! Sounds like a great X-Mas/New Years treat. You'll get many years of enjoyment out of them. Wish you a happy and creative year!

I had to stop somewhere :D as it is i`ll probably spend the rest of my life trying to figure it all out. The v-synth was my first purchase and im just starting to delve into its sampling features.

At the moment I enter my den early evening with all good intentions of sitting down and laying out a rhythm for a piece , 4 hours later I realise all ive done is sit and play. I'll sit and play music just to hear it play. Not very productive but very enjoyable

Tonight I spent about 3 hours messing with filter sweeps on the Korg, got some very nice patches stashed but alas I havent much to show for my time :D

Last night I spent about 3 hours with a very dry plain patch on the korg and ran it through the Lexicons to try it out.

when im done goofing with the gear i'll start composing some pieces :p

congratualations. Now go make a hit and buy everyone at hr a beer.
