I'm Buying one too
Good-day,
I'm also buying
a 166Xl and
a 286a over the next couple of weeks. Mostly because their afforable. I can say however that after reading the equipment list of alot of recording studios that even they're using them. It's nice to have an assorment of outboard gear as well as an assorment of Mics. I'm starting at the affordable end first then I'll start making more expensive purchases over the course of the year.
I'll probably have to finance that stuff, but at least I can fill my home studio with lots of gear I can practise on so that when the expensive stuff gets here, I'll have a better idea of what I'm doing and less likely to toast something. Thats also why I bought the MX3282. I wanted to practise and learn about the 8 sub-group outs. I figure that if I toasted something in the process, that at least it wasn't a 4 or 5 thousand dollar mixer.
When I get my new gear, I'll experiment with it, make some comparisons and let you know how everything turns out. If you'd like to hear soe of the stuff I already recorded with
the MX3282 and a Aardvark Pro Q10 (who's gone out of bussines now), visit my web site at
www.geocities.com/maslproductions/index.htm the second page of my site only allows people to download one song at a time. There are three songs on there, that means three different days of downloading.
Write me at
kitpu@hotmail.com directly if you want to correspond about the Behringer stuff. I have the 3282 mixer, a Beh B2 Pro Large Diaphram Condenser Mic, and a 4 channel headphone amplifier. Thats all my Beh gear. Looking to start buying more upscale stuff this year.
