This is not slamming loud but good enough for industry standard? I could bump up the limiter just a touch more.

Hoping this is the final mix but could still make some adjustments so please let me know if anything is out of place to your ears.

Thanks!!!

My Carnival

Welcome to my world
Where I take what I want
And I don't care

Turning carousels
I'll take whoever's next
Though unaware

You're in my sights
Now I descend

I thrive
on innocent lives
I'll steal your soul
with precise control
Into despair you'll slide
No one survives
My carnival

You're a Ferris Wheel
That lifts me so high
It's beyond thin air

It's all just fun and games
That you'll play for me
I'll drink your fear

You'll try to fight
But in the end
Lose

I thrive
on innocent lives
I'll steal your soul
with precise control
Into despair you'll slide
No one survives
My carnival

I thought it was kind of cool, once it kicked in. It took a bit too long to kick in.

Techno is not my thing, but the sounds were all cool I suppose. I liked the vocal effects.

I thought the drums were too far back in the mix. Not much power to either the snare or kick.

So I went back and listened to the previous mixes for reference.

This mix sounds a little better (vox are less boxy; kick thumps a little more), but it's about half as loud. That seems weird for a master.

EXCELLENT! Thanks for the help...

So here is a louder version with more bass...

Hitting the limiter fairly hard during the chorus...too much???

TripleM...Thanks for the comments. I upped the bass but left the snare for now. Hopefully the bass/kick has a little more power now.

Steve...I appreciate your opinion. Thank you for going back to the old post. I thought about just updating that one and in retrospect probably should have!

I hope you have a chance to take another quick listen. I upped the bass and the volume. Seems louder to me but not sure the bass really changed much surprisingly as I bumped it pretty good. What do you think? The limiter is taking about a 5db reduction when the kick hits during the chorus. Could that cause it to not have the impact it should? Sounds great in my studio with a sub and just ok with my Sennheiser phones. They don't produce a lot of low end though.

I hear some pumping but probably don't mind it too much for this style of song...

Any opinions much appreciated!

I'm not hearing the pumping, so you're probably good.
