Newbie here...

I'm mostly a guitar player/indie rock dude... but I haphazardly laid down some beats & I'm all about expanding my musical horizons, so I thought I'd drop a link on this board and see if the fish are biting. I would love to hear some lyrics w/ a couple of these tracks. "Here kitty" is probably the most accesible... the last one is probably too techno-ish, but I say blur the boundaries...

... thanks in advance to anybody who checks this out... any advice/criticism is welcome...

"This is my favorite song that God had me make. It starts our really slow, which is good if you're stoned. Then the really killer beat comes in and you're like, "WOW!" Then you get blown away by some straight up "Rhytm is gonna getcha" type of crap. Dude... check it out.

That is pretty much the best description I've ever read for a song. I'm not mocking, it seriously is just a great description.

As far as the music, I listened to the 1st and 3rd tracks. I thought the 3rd was too techonish. The 1st could work, but make some room for vocals and shorten the intro maybe. Both were distorted pretty bad (listening in hi-fi). Some cool ideas though, especially in the 3rd.

thanks

Yeah... this stuff is all kind of tongue-in-cheek... intentionally comical. Also, I made em up just for the fun of it, without really intending them to ever have lyrics, so you're right, they would need more room for lyrics.

Thanks for the comments... & thanks to anybody else who checked 'em out.

The honest truth

I don't want to sound negative because I really think that art is all relative to the beholder. But in my honest hip hop opinion...those beats are wack. You have a good idea with what you're doing, but you need to try and come up with some stronger melodies and deeper drum patterns. X out the funny sound effects unless they truly compliment the track. But hey...that's is just one opinion. Whatever you do don't stop at it...use my comments for motivation and post up some better beats next time.
