Hi
So I have been recording for about 3 years now...right back to when I was recording drums by standing in front of the kit with a single mic, mixing vocals too loud and at the end of it all falling into a muddy swamp, that was the mix at the end.
Enough backstory, looking for some critique of my mix. I record at home in what is a fairly tinny room, but as luck would have it my small diaphragm overheads do not capture a lot of that! Till recently the drums simply went in as a stereo track, with the 2 overheads, a Seinheisser e385 vocal mic on snare and Seinheisser 602 on the kick. Again I used the e385 for the guitar and vocals and used DI for the bass, all records through a Toneport UX1 (only 2 inputs, but hey it gets a signal in there!) Point is, the drums were subject to one line of EQ, very tricky to mix drums nicely this way!
Anyway let us know what you think...

The song is called "Prevail", should start automatically.
Cheers!
